Personal Bio:
Rachel was born and raised in Southern Pines, North Carolina and is the daughter of managing partner, Tom Van Camp. Rachel attended Wake Forest University for undergraduate and double majored in Psychology and Sociology, graduating with Honors in Sociology.
After graduating college, Rachel attended UNC for law school and was a member of UNC’s National Moot Court Team, where she developed her passion for litigation and advocacy. Rachel and her husband, Marshall, moved to Boone after she graduated law school, where Rachel worked as a staff attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina for almost four years.
In late 2021, Rachel and her husband moved back to Southern Pines with their two dogs, Maya and Hugo. Since moving back to the area, Rachel has become involved with various non-profit organizations and pro-bono projects, including working with the Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust and the NAACP.
When she’s not working, Rachel enjoys crossword puzzles, hiking with her family, cooking, and traveling.
